In winter, the American Birkebeiner event draws thousands of people every year to watch or compete in a 50-kilometer cross country ski race. Treeland Resorts offers lodging for those with Birkie fever! All of our Four Seasons Year-round units have fireplaces. Competitors and spectators can soak in whirlpools available in many of our cabins to soothe tight muscles and take away the chill.
Springtime on Chippewa Flowage means Treeland’s own Challenge, a catch and release walleye and Bass tournament with thousands of dollars in prizes and door prizes at stake. Try your luck at catching a prize walleye, or just take part in the food, fun, and fish fry frenzy! Treeland offers discounted lodging rates in the spring.
Summer lodging at Treeland is available for the Hayward Musky Festival, Honor the Earth Pow Wow, and the Lumberjack World Championships. It is also the time of year where the most outdoor activities are available, so make reservations as early as possible.
In the fall, the woods at Treeland Resorts show dramatic color. You’ll want time to fit in a color tour by lake or land. The rich autumn hues just begin to appear around the time of the Annual Musky Hunt (a competition for trophy musky in world famous Lake Chippewa Flowage), the Fat Tire Festival (thousands of off-road bicyclists compete in a race adventure), and the Hayward Fall Festival. Be sure to ask about discounted rates available for fall.
